Dave Mantel A confluence of a lot of different "versions" of Billy's music come together here to make something that feels fresh and unique in a genre that too often treads the same, tired, "Explosions In The Sky-esque" lines. Taking a lot of electronic rhythmic elements, field recordings, vocal manipulations, and of course, a lot of layered and looped guitar, Channel(s) is a rich, deep listening experience, both heavily melodic and textural at once, and a perfect way to "reboot" Infinite Third. Alex Alexander An interdimensional instrumental rock odyssey. Heavy-hitting beats = cosmic machinery of reality; shrouds of ambience and voices = spiritual winds and phantasms swirling in other worlds; clear, foregrounded guitar = human protagonist on a journey to confront totality. Esoteric chants and alien reverse speech make it feel both ancient and futuristic. Vaporous drones and humming guitar textures make the atmosphere feel both spacious and dense. And the track sequence is very well-paced! Favorite track: Sentence(s).
